barrett has worked with folks such as the new york times, the history channel, a&e, the sacramento news & review, and the L magazine.
he was raised in danbury, connecticut, the son of
two actors and the oldest of four children. after seeing how unreliable the life of an actor can be, he decided on a practical career in comix and illustration. his first step was to commit himself to
the pratt institute for the criminally insane in brooklyn, new york. there he worked as editor of
the static fish, the institute's comix anthology,
and later presided over the monthly
campus journal, the prattler. he really
likes thai food.
